I was compensated for this project. It is an online application for a friend´s dissertation project in Human Factors. This project is a survey on numerous typefaces, with an emphasis on participants´ habits and attitudes regarding those typefaces. Basically, it is an investigation of onscreen document and typeface attitudes and opinions. There are three parts. Part 1 was launched in early December 2006, and the others (which are dependant upon the first) will follow after the first of the year.
November 2006 - MotheringDotCommune Holiday Helper

This charitable project matches families who have needs during the holiday season with people who want to
help them
. The staff running the site are Mothering.com forum members who started Holiday Helper a few years ago. This was the first time they had an online application to help manage the matching. I donated my skills, code, and time to provide them this for free, and am very happy (as they are, also) of the improved efficiency in helping those families in need.
December 2005 - Picture Gallery for our daughter

I designed this site for friends and family to see new pictures of our daughter. It dynamically creates thumbnails, multiple gallery pages, and a flat-file database (which holds information on each picture) for each section. The trees and grassy hill overlayed at the bottom have been altered from their original source (dont remember where from). The logo at the top is my design. The site, like my other web designs, is cross-browser compatible. The XML-based guestbook is Powered by GB-XML, and heavily modified by me. Site hasn't been updated since April 2006.
